TRFC Youth Section

Background

Having been non-existent throughout much of the start of the century, the youth section at Thetford Rugby club has become a strong attribute to the club once more. With dedicated coaches, players and parents, the youth section is starting to shape up.
They currently run one team, at under 15 level, but enjoy having up to 30 young people form 8 upwards at Sunday morning training sessions.

Under 15’s

The squad of 20+ players has been training hard throughout the summer and have started to really gel as a team. The players mostly come from Charles Burrell High School in Thetford, and some from Swaffham, Methwold and surrounding areas.

Coaching

The youth section is coached and managed by an experienced team of Thetford players and former players. They have 3 RFU level 1 coaches and a further 2 to be qualified soon.

Training

Training is at 10.30am – 12.30pm on Sunday mornings at the club.
